Future of Medicine: Discerning Truth and Building Trust in the Age of AI

As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes the landscape of healthcare, the need for critical discernment and authentic trust has never been greater. This workshop brings together clinicians, researchers, students, educators, and industry innovators to explore the ethical and practical challenges posed by emerging technologies. Through six lectures from leaders in medical ethics, journalism, and healthcare, participants will consider how AI is changing decision-making, patient relationships, and professional identity—and imagine how we may lead with integrity and humanity in an evolving world.

Future of Medicine: Discerning Truth and Building Trust in the Age of AI is the second in a series of yearly workshops bringing leading Stanford faculty, collaborators, and other experts together to discuss the implications of rapidly evolving technologies in the field of medicine, and beyond.
